We regularly support local grassroots non-profit organizations based in San Diego through a combination of fundraising and participation. Our commitment to being a sustainability-focused company means going beyond the walls of our brewery and brewpubs and personally contributing to causes we believe in.

We love to invite our friends out to make beer with us. Each of our Brewpubs features a satellite brew system where we’re constantly collaborating with other breweries and team members to craft small batch recipes. Beer might bring us together, but there’s nothing quite like enjoying a beer you brewed together.

Since 2014 we’ve teamed up with the Pink Boots Society, the international organization that focuses on empowering female beer professionals to advance their careers through education, to offer an Education Package Scholarship for San Diego State University’s College of Extended Studies “Business of Distribution” Course.

We also maintain an active presence in Pink Boots throughout the year and have proudly participated in International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day, donating profits from each release back to the organization.

We pride ourselves on having multiple Certified Cicerones and Certified Beer Servers in our ranks. Joining Karl Strauss comes with an expectation that you take your beer seriously and back that up by furthering your own knowledge and education. We have a ton of resources and programs available to help you along in your personal journey.
