A weekend of great beer is calling, and we’re answering. Karl Strauss is heading to Denver for GABF 2026, bringing our San Diego roots and a proud festival history along for the trip.
The Great American Beer Festival is happening this weekend, and Karl Strauss will be there! We’re heading to Colorado to celebrate craft beer, connect with fellow brewers, and share a taste of what we’ve been brewing back home.
For us, a weekend like this is about the people as much asthe beer. It’s a chance to catch up with longtime fans, meet someone tryingKarl Strauss for the first time, and spend time with the community that keepsAmerican craft beer moving forward. We’re excited to bring a little San Diegoto Denver.
Presented by the Brewers Association, the Great American Beer Festival brings breweries and beer lovers together from across the country. Since its start in 1982, GABF has become a major gathering for American craft beer, pairing a tasting festival with a prestigious competition that recognizes brewing excellence across a wide range of styles.

The festival gives attendees a chance to explore different styles, discover breweries, and meet the people behind their favorite pours. This year, GABF moves outdoors to Denver’s Levitt Pavilion, bringing a new setting to the weekend’s tastings, live music, and food offerings. Whether you’re a longtime craft beer fan or just starting to explore, there’s plenty to discover.
GABF holds a special place in our story. Since our first entry, we've won 13 medals that we could not be more proud of. Red Trolley Ale earned gold in the Irish-Style Red Ale category in 2010 and 2013. In 2016, we brought home four medals: gold for Windansea Wheat and Queen of Tarts, plus bronze for Mosaic Session IPA and Liquid AC. That same year, Karl Strauss was named Mid-Size Brewing Company of the Year, a proud moment for our brewing team.

Those wins recognized very different sides of our brewing lineup, from a traditional German-style wheat beer to a hop-forward session IPA and a barrel-aged sour. They reflect the care our brewers put into each recipe and the range of beers we love to make. Returning to GABF gives us another opportunity to share that work with people who appreciate what goes into a great beer.
Join us Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11 at Levitt Pavilion, 1380 W Florida Avenue in Denver. The festival is open to guests 21 and older with a valid photo ID, and tickets are available through the official GABF website.
If you’re heading to GABF, make Karl Strauss part of your festival plans. Come say hello, talk beer with our team, and raise a glass with us. See you there!
