Join BeautifulPB for a group bike ride to Arts & Amps from the Pacific Beach Middle School.
BeautifulPB will be leading a free bike “train” ride to Arts & Amps on August 20. The route covers approximately 7 miles and will be done at a leisurely pace that will take a little over 1 hour. The starting point is at the street mural on the north side of Pacific Beach Middle School (Diamond and Haines) and the route then loops through Pacific Beach on the PB Pathways before heading to Karl Strauss. You can participate by arriving at the start by 4 pm or joining along the route (Earliest estimated times are provided on the route map). Free bike valet will be provided at Karl Strauss courtesy of BeautifulPB. Beach cruisers are ok. Helmet and bike lights recommended. There is no organized ride for the return.
In 2015, we partnered up with our friends at Amplified Ale Works to brew “Pathway Ale”, an on-going collaboration series to help raise funding for local community project, PB Pathways. The project is organized by “beautifulPB” a public non-profit charity focused on creating a sustainable and more beautiful Pacific Beach. The goal of the PB Pathways project is to build a network of safe neighborhood routes encouraging people to walk, bike, or skate to their destinations; ultimately making PB a safer and friendlier place for pedestrians, bicyclists, and skaters. 50 cents of each pint sold is donated back to beautifulPB to fund their efforts.
