San Diego, CA — July 27th, 2016 Karl Strauss Brewing Company will open a new satellite brewery and brewpub in Anaheim next month. Directly across the street from Angel Stadium, this new location expands the brewery’s small batch brewing capability. Equipped with a 7-barrel brewhouse, two fermentation tanks, and three brite tanks, this brewery has the potential to produce more than 35 unique releases of fresh, small batch beer brewed on site. The Anaheim satellite brewery increases the company’s brewing infrastructure to ten brewery locations in southern California, including their main production brewery in Pacific Beach. “We’re excited to expand our small batch program. Hillcrest Brewing and Karl Strauss Inspire San Diego Breweries to Support Orlando Victims with “All You Need Is Love” Collaboration Beer Releases
San Diego, CA — July 11th, 2016 In the wake of the recent Orlando tragedy, Hillcrest Brewing Company approached Karl Strauss Brewmaster, Paul Segura, with the idea of brewing a beer to help raise funds for the victims and their families. Within hours, graphics and a recipe were developed for the brew dubbed All You Need Is Love and a call to action was sent out to San Diego brewers encouraging participation in the movement.

San Diego, CA — June 28th, 2016 KARL’s impressive medal run continued in June with the brewery picking up medals in regional and international beer competitions. Red Trolley, one of the most decorated craft beers of all time, earned two more medals during the month. The first came from China as the iconic beer won gold at the Shanghai International Beer Festival. Red Trolley went on to win silver in the California Commercial Craft Beer Competition. These two medals take Red Trolley to 22 medals won since the brewery started entering competitions in 2009.
