Since 2014 we’ve teamed up with the Pink Boots Society, the international organization that focuses on empowering female beer professionals to advance their careers through education, to offer an Education Package Scholarship for San Diego State University’s College of Extended Studies “Business of Distribution” Course.
We also maintain an active presence in Pink Boots throughout the year and have proudly participated in International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day, donating profits from each release back to the organization.

CRAFT BEER IN THE CLASSROOM
We have a longstanding tradition of supporting our local community, a core value instilled by the late brewmaster, Karl M. Strauss. In honor of Karl’s lifetime commitment to community service and education we are active in local craft beer educational programs at San Diego universities.
Our Brewmaster Paul Segura regularly teaches classes in the UCSD brewing extension program and at the San Diego State Professional Certificate in the Business of Craft Beer program.
“It is incredibly exciting to be partnering with UC San Diego. One of our core values is to care for our local community and there is no better way to give back than to help someone with their education. Karl would be proud to know that his legacy lives on and that we continue to inspire people to pursue their passions.” – Paul Segura
