Blink of An IPA
This here is an IPA brewed with kveik yeast. “What the hell’s a kveik?” Pronounced “kvike” (rhymes with bike), it’s a traditional Norwegian yeast strain that ferments super quickly – as in, within a few days instead of weeks! We were eager to experiment with it, and so were our buddies at AleSmith. Introducing Blink of an IPA, brewed for our San Diego collaboration festival, Collabapalooza. Simcoe, Citra, Ekuanot, El Dorado, and BRU-1 experimental hops lend flavors of pear, watermelon, and pineapple. Kveik produces stone fruit and citrus esters, making it the perfect strain to use for this bright, juicy IPA. This beer fermented fast and will be gone fast. You might even say it’ll be gone in the blink of… well, you know the saying.
