Karl Strauss Receives Honorable Mention in Outside Magazine’s Top 50 Places to Work
SAN DIEGO, CA – California craft brewery icon Karl Strauss Brewing Company has added another accolade to its ever-expanding list of awards, this time from Outside Magazine. The brewery received an Honorable Mention in the 2022 edition of the magazine’s Top 50 Places to Work report, which highlights companies that encourage their team members to enjoy a healthy work-life balance via programs such as remote work or generous time-off policies.
One of the many ways Karl Strauss has highlighted the importance of its company culture is on social media via its “Team Member Spotlight” initiative. These recurring posts highlight individual members and share more about their interests and why they love being part of the craft beer industry. The company has shown a spotlight on nineteen team members so far and counting.

Karl Strauss looks back fondly on 2022, a year that included a World Beer Cup Bronze Medal for Aurora Hoppyalis IPA in the American-style India Pale Ale category. They’re also ecstatic for 2023, when they will add a highly anticipated new beer to their year-round lineup, collaborate with other esteemed breweries via their quarterly collaboration series, and open up a brand new retail concept in San Marcos.
