Karl Strauss Celebrates San Diego Music & Art with Season Two of Arts & Amps Event Series
San Diego, CA — June 21st, 2016 Karl Strauss Brewing Company invites you to join them for another summer filled with local art, independent music, and handcrafted beer as they bring their Arts & Amps event series back for a second season.
Ever since the company opened their doors in 1989 they’ve been committed to supporting the local community through partnerships with local non-profits, educational scholarship programs, charitable donations, and supporting community-based events. Their Arts & Amps summer series is a way to bring fans and friends together to celebrate the fellow artisans of San Diego’s creative community while providing a platform to showcase a killer line-up of specialty brews.

The three-part series will take place over the summer months at their Main Brewery and Tasting Room in Pacific Beach and each event will feature amped up sounds from three San Diego Music Award-winning bands. The series will kick off on Saturday, June 25th featuring local indie rockers The Donkeys; Saturday July 23rd they’ll be bringing back Little Hurricane to pack the house again this year; and they’ll cap off the finale with hometown heroes The Young Wild on Saturday, August 20th.
San Diego-based artist-driven collective, Cohort Collective, has jumped on board this year to amplify the Tasting Room with their loud, unique style of visual art. They will be bringing an element of live performance as they create a large mural piece throughout the event in pursuit of their mission to “cure San Diego’s obsession with beige walls”.
The Tasting Room will be serving a diverse line-up of over 20 handcrafted Karl Strauss brews including core favorites, one-offs, and specialty brews. From their barrel-aged collection, they’ll be featuring the newly released Tequila Barrel-Aged Imperial Pilsner and a special batch of their 27th Anniversary Bourbon Barrel-Aged Double Chocolate Imperial Stout on Nitro. Urge Gastropub will be onsite cooking up their signature dishes for guests to pair with the tasty libations.
Each event will take place from 5pm – 8pm at their Main Brewery and Tasting Room in Pacific Beach. Admission is free so bring friends and come thirsty!
