Karl Strauss and State Brewing Release Collaboration Beers for LA Beer Week
San Diego, CA — June 2018 Karl Strauss is proud to be part of LA’s thriving craft beer scene and will celebrate LA Beer Week with two special releases. They teamed up with fellow brewers at State Brewing to produce two collaboration beers in honor of the shared passion that fuels their local brewing community.
“My Place” is a Hoppy Lager that was brewed at the Karl Strauss satellite brewery in Downtown LA. “Or Yours” is a Hazy Imperial IPA that was brewed at State’s brewery in South LA. Both teams had a hand in each brew, and they’ll be debuting the new releases at KARL’s LA Beer Week Kickoff event this Friday, June 15th.

The kickoff event will take place at the Karl Strauss Downtown LA Brewpub starting at 5pm where fans will have a chance to tour the brewery, meet the brewers, and sample the new releases. The draft beer list will feature 25+ small batch, core, and seasonal beers including Two Tortugas Belgian Quad, fresh off its latest gold medal win from the 2018 LA International Beer Competition. KARL will also be pouring some rare releases from the company’s barrel-aged collection including Fear of the Tart Oak Barrel-Aged Sour Stout, Show Pony Barrel-Aged Saison with Peaches, and Wild Ride Barrel-Aged Sour Red Ale with Raspberries.
