Craft Brewers Competition

Professional brewers from around the country competed this year in the inaugural Craft Brewers Competition and Festival Saturday, June 9. The festival, open to the public, was from noon to 5:00PM in the Paddock. Beer lovers were able to purchase a souvenir tasting cup and a wristband for $13.00 that allowed tasters of the beers. A select group of these award-winning beers were served throughout the Fair in the beer gardens.

Karl Strauss Brewing Company won 2 bronze medals! The beers that won were Black's Beach and Minden Maibock.
