Windansea Wheat Hefeweizen is an authentic hefeweizen. Most American hefeweizens are made by using a conventional ale yeast, and as a result, have a light fruity or bread-like flavor. However, our hefeweizen is made with a centuries-old pure strain of Bavarian yeast known for producing unique banana, vanilla, and clove flavors during fermentation. While purists prefer to enjoy this beer without a garnish, our Windansea Wheat Hefeweizen is equally delicious with or without a wedge of lemon.
