Endless Summer Light is a light bodied, golden, low calorie lager characterized by a harmonious balance of mild malt sweetness and subtle hop character. Unlike most domestic light beers that use rice or corn to reduce color and flavor, this refreshing beer derives its full biscuity flavor and golden color from imported Vienna malts, white wheat, and pale two-row barley. We also use imported noble Saaz hops to give it a delicate spiciness and crisp, clean finish.
In June of 2005, Bruce Brown Films and Karl Strauss Brewing Company came together to create Endless Summer Light as a tribute to two pioneers, Bruce Brown, legendary filmmaker and creator of the classis surf film, “The Endless Summer,” and Karl Strauss, Master Brewer.

| In 1964, filmmaker Bruce Brown decided to follow two surfers around the world in search of a perfect wave. On a budget of only $50,000 and equipped with a 16mm camera, Bruce captured the essence, the adventure, and the art of surfing. Hence the renowned film “The Endless Summer.” From the waters of West Africa, through the seas of Australia, to Haiti, two surfers from California achieved their great dream: to try the wildest waves in the world. “The Endless Summer” has become the most popular and widely seen surf film of all-time. |
